I was born in Eureka, California and raised in Sacramento, California. After high school served in the Marine Corps, which gave me the opportunity to go to college. I graduated from UCLA with a degree in general dentistry. I appreciate the challenges and diversity of working at Mat-Su Dental Center. I love to fish and travel the globe. I have been to several parts of Europe, Australia, Brazil, Colombia, and many more. I have been blessed with a beautiful wife, five children, and four grandchildren.
I was raised in southern California and attended dental school at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. It was there that I met my wonderful husband. Together we have two young boys, who are the biggest blessings in our lives. We are all excited to be here in Alaska, and enjoy the many outdoor activities and lifestyle Alaska has to offer. To top it all off, I love being a part of the team here at MatSu Dental Center. Everyone here is so nice to work with and courteous. I enjoy providing quality care for our patients in a gentle and caring manner. We hope to see you soon!
I graduated this year from the University of Illinois Chicago with a degree in general dentistry. I previously had my own practice in India, which helped me to prepare for what lies ahead. I have been with Mat-Su Dental Center since July and am thoroughly enjoying the diversity of our office. I love living in Alaska and all of the hiking and outdoor opportunities here. In my spare time, when I am not hiking, I enjoy traveling, watching movies, and listening to music of all kinds.
I am thrilled to be back at Mat-Su Dental Center after a lengthy absence. I am originally from Sudbury, Ontario, Canada and studied dental hygiene at the University of Vermont. After graduating in 1993, I gained a vast variety of experience in bush, city, and island environments. I am currently working on my Bachelor’s Degree in Science.
I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to a Navy family. After my dad’s military retirement, we moved to Alaska in 1978. I have been in love with Alaska ever since. I graduated from Wasilla High School and attended the University of Alaska Anchorage, graduating with a Dental Hygiene degree in 1997. I was blessed to do a little traveling before settling back in Alaska. I have held Dental Hygiene licenses in Washington, Alaska, Idaho and Tennessee. I am the mother of five wonderful sons who have blessed me with seven grandchildren. I hold to the values of treating our patients with respect and kindness, inviting them to participate by educating them and helping to guide them through the best home care choices. I love being a part of a team that helps our patients achieve good dentalhealth for a lifetime of smiles! I also enjoy helping our more fearful patients overcome that first stepwith gentle kindness and encouragement, giving them the sense of accomplishment they deserve! Ilove working with children. I have been a part of the Mat-Su Dental Center team since 2001.

Hello my name is Tanya. I am originally from Pensacola, Florida. Although I love Alaska, I am a true southern gal at heart. After graduating from dental assisting school in the state of Washington, I started off in an endodontic office that specialized in root canal therapy. I knew I had found my true calling after I started helping at the front desk and speaking to patients on the phone. I appreciate how hard it might be to pick up the phone and call a dental office, let alone come in for dental treatment. The extensive experience and knowledge that I’ve attained working in this field for over 20 years can help you! I look forward to speaking with you when you call.
I’m Melissa, and I’ve worked at Mat-Su Dental Center since the summer of 2011. I grew up in Palmer and graduated from Palmer High School. I received an Associates of Arts degree from Mat-Su College. I am working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology through the University of Alaska Anchorage. I am also building an independent art and jewelry business. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking and playing Ultimate Frisbee.
Mat-Su Dental Center has been my work home since 2004. I started here at the front desk and through my commitment and diligence I am now the Clinic Director. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in business management and years of experience helping our patients. The best part of working at Mat-Su Dental Center is the diverse environment and the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life. I enjoy jewelry making and many of the outdoor activities Alaska offers with my husband…especially fishing! As a proud born and raised Alaskan, I appreciate the abundant beauty and unique lifestyle Alaska has to offer.
